Lightup Network Solutions entered the market in 1998 as an Internet Service Provider and has since been serving business customers from a number of different industries and countries. When the two managing directors Daniel Rieger and Markus Stalder founded lightupNET as a sole proprietorship in February of 1998, the business focused on providing professional webhosting and the development of business websites. Over the years, the demand for more individual services grew. As a result, Lightup Network Solutions developed into a full-service provider through the addition of other professional network, data center and consulting services.
What makes us different from our competitors?
Our knowledge and experience. By the late 1980s we had already begun to thoroughly explore the realms of computer technologies and data communications. As the internet age dawned, we were therefore already able to look back on a long-standing experience with networks, UNIX and related technologies. Like with any good craftsman our skills have become a second nature to us. We like to say: "We feel UNIX and TCP/IP". In order to live up to your and our own demands for quality we're paying a lot of attention to a similar history with our current and future employees.
Our personal commitment. Our existing customers would tell you what distinguishes us the most from other providers is our customer support. We're available day and night by eMail, phone or in person. We're handling your technical issues with due seriousness and find the proper solution for every problem. With our extremely fast response times we make it possible for you to achieve optimal business operations.
Our independence. Our ambition has been and continues to be to design and operate our technical infrastructure as independent as possible. This includes outsourcing only as few services as possible and only if absolutely necessary, as well as choosing business partners and suppliers with extreme care. 15 years of business experience have confirmed that handing over responsibilites makes only sense on rare occasions for us. In the end, the result is often the same: we do it better, and therefore better do it by ourselves.
Our people skills. This is one of the factors that often does not receive enough attention when selecting business partners and suppliers. Even if it's the nature of things to maximize an enterprises' profits, ethical principles must not be thrown overboard in the process. Moral and decency actually mean something to us, and even though there's not much room for idealism in the IT industry, we are proud to ignore this trend completely.
